I am writing to request for a review of my salary formally. I have enjoyed working for Acre Fund Corporation for four years now. Within this period, I have had the opportunity to be an integral member of the technical team and develop several innovative methods that contributed to the company’s growth. I have, however, reviewed my track record in the company, my recent achievements and industry average salaries and would like to request for a 9% increase in my annual pay.
I recognize that the year 2020 has been challenging because of the economic fallout brought about by the Covid-19. It has also brought with it a challenge for me as I have had to endure long working hours in the development teams and take additional responsibilities in other departments to keep the company afloat. I have taken the challenge readily, and in this year alone, I have distinguished myself with the following accomplishments:
- I have developed a self-service virtual customer assistant and search engine optimization interface that has increased the company sales by $150,000
- I have led the database design team to produce an incumbent system within a record three months that has ensured proper data security and end-user productivity
- Voluntarily trained the new technical staff brought in to maintain the video conferencing facilities during the lockdown period caused by the Covid-19.
Statistics from ISACA Tech Workforce 2020 research show that the average salary for my position is $70,000, which is more than 10% higher than my current pay. A 9% salary increase will thus put me at par with the regional standards.
I would appreciate a chance to have a personal discussion on the salary increase, my performance, along with what is best for the company. Once again, I appreciate the opportunity given to me in the company. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
